GB, London, London, Westminster Abbey

Warum hier keine Orgelfotos zu sehen sind: Man kann gegen Eintrittsgeld die Abbey besichtigen, aber dennoch gilt ein striktes Fotoverbot im Inneren. Noch vor meiner London-Tour habe ich versucht, eine Fotoerlaubnis zu bekommen, aber leider erfolglos, wie man sieht. Auch der Hinweis auf die vielen Orgelseiten-Besucher konnte die Verantwortlichen nicht überzeugen und es hieß nur, 'eine kommerzielle Fotoerlaubnis läge weit über meinem Budget'. Das glaube ich gerne. Zwar bot man mir für 6 Pfund ein Orgelfoto in schlechter Auflösung an, das ich nicht einmal auf meiner Website hätte veröffentlichen dürfen, aber darauf habe ich dankend verzichtet, denn früher, als man noch fotografieren durfte, war ich schon einmal in der Abbey. Also scannte ich mein altes Foto ein, so dass ich nun wenigstens ein qualitativ einigermaßen brauchbares Orgelfoto anbieten kann... Also seht Ihr hier die erste und einzige Kirche der Orgelseite, die ich zwar besucht habe, von der es aber keine hochauflösende ORGEL-Fotos gibt – schade, aber nicht zu ändern! Why there are no original organ pictures of this place: If you buy a ticket you can visit the Abbey. Taking photographs inside, however, is strictly forbidden. I tried to get a special permission long before I left for London, but apparently without success. I told the authorities about the large number of visitors to the Organ Site, but unfornately was not able to convince them. A 'commercial license', I was told, was 'certainly beyond my budget'. They are probably right. What they did offer me, was an organ picture in poor resolution for 6 Pounds excluding the permission to put it on my website for download, so I said 'No, thank you!'. Luckily I had visited the Abbey before (in times when taking pictures was still legal), and I scanned my old photo so that I can at least offer you one relatively decent picture of that organ... So here is the first and only church on the Organ Site that I have visited and of which there are no high-resolution ORGAN pictures. I'm really sorry about this, but it can't be helped.
