I guess this selection is pretty bold and absolutely unique in the world of organ CDs. It probably does not appeal too much to mainstream taste in organ music, but that is exactly the reason why I include it in my list of "hot" CDs. By the way, the recording is excellent as well. There are some more "hot" or "normal" CDs or also DVDs of the Lucerne organ available directly from Wolfgang Sieber. |

Dröhnich's concise comment: The first concert on the reorganised organ systems at the Cologne Cathedral – the sound technician has done a magnificent job, still some works could not be played as fast as they should or else it would all have turned into one mush of sound. |

Dröhnich's concise comment: This CD proudly presents a firework of Spanish trumpets. But the historic Bosch organ offers a lot of other archaic timbres as well, e.g. a kind of a Gothic blockwork. Therefore there is not only Spanish organ music on the CD but a wide variety. A very special recording! |
